John BOOTHE was born about 1819
"near" Hinesville, Liberty County, Georgia. He moved to Nassau
County, Florida, about 1845. It is unknown at this time who his parents
may have been, but it is "thought" the father was Edward BOOTHE.
On 17 September 1845, John BOOTHE married Mary
Ann PENDARVIS in Nassau County. They had the following children:

In the Indian War Pension records of John BOOTHE,
his name is listed at Jehu. He served under Capt. CLARK in the
Regiment of Georgia Mounted Volunteers, commanded by Gen. FLOYD in the Seminole
War, enlisting at Traders Hill, Georgia, in the Spring of 1841. According
to this record, he was age 21, 5' 9" in height, with black eyes,
black hair, and dark complexion, by occupation a farmer, being born
in Liberty County, Georgia. There was a Susanah BOOTHE as witness to
this pension, age 64, who is thought to be a sister of Mary A. PENDARVIS.
